Help from the industry for your leisure venue
We help operators of bowling centres, escape rooms, laser tag arenas, mini golf courses and other leisure venues make their day easier – from the right booking system to a fully booked Saturday.
From people who know your day.
From the industry
Every text is written by people who have worked with leisure venues for years. We write about what we see every week: what works, what gets stuck and what operators really ask.
Ideas from around the world
Good solutions do not only come from one country. We look at how venues elsewhere handle bookings, groups and capacity, and show what fits your business.
Right in the day-to-day
Packed Saturdays, a children’s party every hour and a phone that never stops ringing: we know the day-to-day up close. So this guide is about solutions that work at the front desk, not just on paper.
How it works
One booking, five steps.
Bowling lane, escape room or mini golf: this is how an enquiry becomes a booking when the booking system does its job.
- 01Free
The guest sees what is really free
Only times that are actually available appear online. They come from the same plan your team works with.
- 02Selected
They choose a lane or room, a time and the number of people
They add packages, drinks or shoe hire at the same time. For you, that means fewer questions on the phone.
- 03Reserved
The slot is held for a moment
While the guest pays or leaves a deposit, the time is blocked for everyone else. If they cancel, it becomes free again.
- 04Booked
Confirmed and straight into the plan
The guest gets a confirmation right away. The booking appears in the right place in the plan, with no retyping.
- 05Reminded
A reminder before the visit
A message the day before covers the time and how to get there. So fewer guests fail to show up.

Frequently asked questions.
How do I find the right booking system for my leisure venue?
Start with your processes, not the software. Write down what you want to make bookable (lanes, rooms, time slots, packages), how many bookings you have on a busy day and which systems you already use, such as your till and accounting. Then ask two or three providers to show you exactly how these processes look in their system.
How do I compare booking systems properly?
Compare them using the same questions: can guests book and pay online around the clock? Can deposits and cancellation terms be set to your rules? Does the system work with your till and accounting? Is there support in German, and is data processed in line with the GDPR? Also ask about all running costs, not just the monthly price.
Which features matter most for leisure and activity centres?
For leisure venues, what counts above all are time slots, capacity limits per lane, room or area, group bookings and packages, online payment with deposits, and automatic confirmations and reminders. If you offer several things, such as bowling, laser tag and food and drink, make sure everything comes together in one schedule.
What does a small leisure business really need?
A small business mainly needs online booking that reliably shows only free times, simple management for the team and automatic confirmations. Many extra features can be added later. Make sure the system is easy to use and can grow with you when you add more activities or locations.
Which other systems should a booking system work with?
Typical ones are the till system (in Germany with a TSE, the required till security device), accounting, payment providers and, where relevant, admission control or food and drink. When these systems exchange data, nobody has to retype anything, and you see bookings and revenue in one place. Ask the provider which integrations exist today and what they cost.
Find the right booking system.
